Yr Hen Iaith Barhau Concept

Yr Hen Iaith Barhau is a research and publishing project devoted to the recovery of meaning within the Welsh language and the ancient British tradition.

The title may be translated as “The Old Language Endures.” It expresses the central conviction of the project: that Welsh preserves not merely old words, but old structures of thought.

These structures can still be traced in root-words, poetic compounds, traditional triads, legal terminology, astronomical imagery, mythological names, and the language of Bardic transmission.
